About Us

troughMOBILE® are the designers and manufacturers of New Zealand’s market leading mobile feeding system, offering the widest range of robust, economical mobile feeding troughs.

Based in Hawera in the beautiful Taranaki region we began manufacturing solutions for New Zealand businesses and farmers in 1993 under the name Normanby Fibreglass.

Introduced in response to demand for a mobile feed solution, we developed a three wheel mobile feed trough that could be easily hitched to a farm bike.

Our troughs have been designed and built in New Zealand to meet the tough and unique requirements of New Zealand farmers and offer a complete in-paddock feeding solution for supplements. All troughMOBILE® troughs feature a range of specialised features including our unique “jockey wheel” mounted tow arm to minimise drawbar loading and a sturdy lock-in position park brake.

Suitable for all year round use our troughs are great value for money and offer farmers convenience and the ability to minimise wastage which makes troughMOBILE® a very sound capital investment.

The Normanby Fibreglass trough impressed us with its rugged construction and no nonsense design. We were so impressed with the first one that we purchased another for our second farm.

The trough is easy to tow by our 4 wheeler, the Gator or our Utes. Two trailers with 500kg’s of PKM in each trailer can easily be pulled, one behind the other by a four wheel motor-bike.

Normanby troughs are excellent as I have moved one ton (500 kgs per trailer) of palm kernel a day for six months the last two seasons, they have not let me down once!
